The Aachener Machine Tool Colloquium 2008

Under the theme "Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries" we presented trends and innovations in production technology on June 5 and 6, 2008.

In two parallel series of lectures about science and practice we offered information on the subjects of

• Technology and Production Systems and
• Innovation Management and Strategic Product Planning

to our guests and covered the latest technological developments and strategies that should achieve a long-term competitive advantage in high-wage countries.   During the conference top executives from internationally known companies in production technology presented their trendsetting concepts and solutions.

Leading experts from the production sector were teaming up with scientists from the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL, from the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT, and from the German Academic Society for Production Engineering WGP, in order to present new concepts of product development, production, corporate strategies as well as to show implementation experiences.
