Prof. Dr. Siegfried Russwurm (47) is a member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Industry Sector. After successfully completing his advanced studies in production engineering, Russwurm began his career at Siemens in 1992 as a production planner and project manager in the Medical Engineering Group. He subsequently held a number of different central management positions in Germany and Sweden, including head of the Motion Control Systems Division. In 2006, Russwurm joined the Group Executive Management of Siemens Medical Solutions. In 2008, he was appointed to the Managing Board of Siemens AG, as head of Corporate Human Resources and Labor Director. In 2010, Russwurm was appointed CEO of the Industry Sector; in addition, he was given responsibility for the Africa and Middle East Regions, Corporate Information Technology and the Corporate Security Office.
