The Aachen Approach
The Aachen Machine Tool Colloquium (AWK) has been involved in current developments in the field of production technology for over 60 years. The 27th AWK is taking place from May 26 - 27, 2011 with a focus on "Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries".
Participants will learn more about new approaches and strategies in two parallel lecture sessions with a total of 16 lectures, as well as in 6 plenary lectures on scientific and practical issues that will help them to deal with the current challenges facing the production industry.
Together with scientists from the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL of the RWTH Aachen and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT, renowned speakers covering different aspects of production technology and related topics will present new product development and production concepts, highlight business strategies and report on their own experiences in the implementation of new concepts. The colloquium is a meeting point for over 1000 German and international experts.
The 27th AWK has set itself the goal of comprehensively reflecting on current developments, on drawing attention to unexploited potential and focusing on ways to successfully master the future.

The four directors of the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL of the RWTH and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT warmly welcome you at the 27th AWK - Aachen Machine Tool Colloquium!
